Manufacturing Engineering Manager

PIC Wire & Cable, an Angelus Company, specializes in designing and manufacturing specialty, high-performance electronic cables, connectors, and assemblies trusted worldwide in critical military applications, including airplanes, helicopters, UAVs, and ground vehicles.
About the role
We're seeking a hands-on industrialization and manufacturing engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of product development, manufacturing, and continuous improvement. This position plays a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence across new product development and existing production, improving processes, controlling costs, and delivering industry-leading products to the aerospace and defense markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic engineering projects that improve operational efficiency and manufacturing capabilities.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and strengthen manufacturing performance.
- Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Management to ensure successful product launches.
- Own product cost from concept through production, driving design-to-cost and sustaining margin-aligned results without compromising quality or performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with RF & ethernet cable technology, interconnect solutions, and aircraft systems/applications desired.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
- Experience facilitating and championing Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methods.
