Manufacturing Engineering Manager
About the role
At Jered, a PAR Systems Company, we design and manufacture critical shipboard equipment supporting the U.S. Navy and fleet readiness efforts. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead process improvements, automation initiatives, tooling improvements, and capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Engineering team
- Support production through process optimization, automation initiatives, tooling improvements, and capital projects
- Implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
- Provide technical leadership and support to production
- Drive automation, tooling, and capital improvement initiatives
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams to solve manufacturing challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Previous leadership or people management experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing operations
- Experience supporting fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced manufacturing environment
