Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, other related specialized Engineering area, or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, tools, processes, and operations for new and existing products.
- Manage people, conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, and merit recommendations.
- Establish and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Work closely with engineering to ensure seamless transition of new products into production.
- Serve as a customer interface for technical issues.
- Ensure internal quality practices comply with external requirements.
- Collaborate across departments (Lines of Business, Supply Chain Management, and Engineering) to align and understand program objectives.
- Manage all capital requirements in facilities, ensuring equipment and machinery meet safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
- Design, develop, and transfer manufacturing engineering tools, strategies, and systems.
- Lead other managers, supervisors, or strategic activities related to business areas, projects, or departments.
- Develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth targets.
- Resolve business-related issues and direct efforts to improve overall efficiency of manufacturing processes.
- Ensure process compliance of all manufacturing activities within areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to pricing strategies, program planning, risk management, and margin generation for proposals.
- Manage the execution of process changes to improve cost, cycle time, and quality.
- Establish hiring criteria for senior operations staff and manage the hiring process.
- Support proposals within Manufacturing.
- Develop operations schedules and baselines in response to program direction, contract guidance, and product lifecycle requirements.
- Identify technical risks and develop risk reduction plans.
- Communicate regularly with senior-level management.
- Travel may be required.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

- Proficient background in Lean Methodologies to reduce overall costs in Operations.

Pay
Target salary range: USD $142,696.00/Yr. - USD $158,303.00/Yr.
