Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical escalation point for manufacturing, quality, and customer issues
• Support new program launch for the manufacturing division
• Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers with varied experience and behavioral styles
• Audit and improve processes to reduce costs and improve cycle times
• Lead process optimization, cost reduction, and cycle-time improvement initiatives
• Measure success through team execution and repeatable outcomes rather than individual technical ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field or 8–10 years of experience in a similar role
• Five years of experience in manufacturing processing in the automotive industry
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds
• Knowledge of Automotive Body components and IATF 16949 quality requirements
• Statistical analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading process optimization, cost reduction, and cycle-time improvement initiatives
• Experience auditing and improving processes to reduce costs and improve cycle times
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers with varied experience and behavioral styles

Job Location

Supports the Gerstco Manufacturing Group with some travel as required.
