We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a full-time, onsite position starting in January.
About the role
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work with a team of Engineers, Toolmakers, and Maintenance Mechanics to provide technical expertise and develop practical solutions for manufacturing and improvement of Andis products.
Responsibilities
- Uphold Andis Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, and Respect in all work-related activities.
- Work with Manufacturing, Product, Quality Engineering, and Production teams in support of New Product Verification Builds.
- Perform time studies and update routers in the ERP System.
- Work with the production team to create and revise Manufacturing Work Instructions.
- Support and/or lead investigations to determine options for change and improvement to manufacturing processes.
- Process Manufacturing Change Requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited technical school or university studying toward an associate/bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word and Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers, supervisors, and peers.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated, with good interpersonal skills, well-organized, and able to work independently while knowing when to ask for assistance.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 1st shift.
