Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join our operations leadership team and drive industrial performance and continuous improvement at the site level. This position is part of a plant ramp-up initiative and will play a key role in establishing processes, supporting operational growth, and driving successful production scale-up.

About the role

This role oversees manufacturing engineering and maintenance operations, specializing in the Schneider Production System (SPS), process design, ergonomics, capacity analysis, simulation tools, investment planning, cost analysis, and performance optimization. You will hold full operational and performance responsibility for a manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with site objectives and industrial strategy. Travel requirements are minimal (less than 10%), with most responsibilities performed on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance manufacturing engineering and maintenance operations, focusing on SPS, process design, ergonomics, capacity analysis, simulation tools, investment planning, cost analysis, and performance optimization.
• Hold full operational and performance responsibility for a manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with site objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage a diverse team, providing guidance on hierarchical responsibilities, budget accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure industrial process effectiveness by managing heterogeneous teams across various technologies and business areas (DT, IE, OEE, TTP, etc.).
• Lead maintenance management in specialized groups, ensuring adherence to service methods and competencies.
• Foster a culture of goal setting, performance management, competency development, engagement, and well-being within your team, following SPS/SIM rules.
• Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies to ensure production tool maintainability and drive continuous improvement in line architectures, capacities, and capabilities.
• Utilize lean diagnostic approaches to uncover medium- and long-term improvement opportunities across all areas.
• Define and optimize organizational structures for new projects or production volume adjustments, focusing on cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Proven people leadership experience, including performance management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated ownership of site-level manufacturing engineering and maintenance strategy, including equipment lifecycle and industrial performance.
• Strong experience managing CapEx and OpEx budgets, investment justification, and cost optimization.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement, with ability to drive measurable operational results.
• Expertise in asset reliability and maintainability, including TPM practices and CMMS/EAM systems.
• Strong understanding of EHS, machine safety, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Pay

For this U.S.-based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This range includes base pay and short-term incentives. Individual pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
