Manufacturing Engineer/Tool Designer III

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize manufacturing process options for CNC machining of complex structural aircraft parts
• Develop machining sequence plans and conceptual fixture designs for efficient machining of aluminum, titanium and stainless steel structural aircraft parts
• Perform research, design and development of manufacturing process including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
• Cook up and manage several large projects simultaneously from start to finish

Requirements

• Degreed Engineer or equivalent experience with an emphasis in manufacturing processes
• A background in CNC machining or toolmaking is preferred
• 5 years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer
• Knowledge of GD&T preferred
• Experience as a Toolmaker or CNC Machinist
• Creative and critical thinker
• Knowledgeable and experienced in Metal cutting mechanics, Vibration and chatter analysis, Machining process modeling
