About the role

Lead the planning and execution of prototype and production builds across engineering and manufacturing. This includes procurement, kitting, and hands-on build support. Facilitate smooth transitions of products into full-scale manufacturing. Drive verification and reliability efforts by defining and tracing requirements. Oversee product data management by establishing Bill of Materials (BOM) strategies in collaboration with manufacturing, and manage part creation, engineering change notices (ECNs), and deviations. Ensure product compliance by creating necessary documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product compliance by creating necessary documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Communicate effectively across various platforms (teleconferences, email, and in-person) to convey technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support project management by contributing accurate technical input for proposals, including resource planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Deliver product support to both internal and external Spartronics customers.

Requirements

  • Education/License/Experience required: Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; Technical degree or Associate's degree in electronics or 5-10 years of work experience acceptable.
  • 3-5+ years of related work experience working with electronics assemblies at a Contract Manufacturer or OEM.
  • Previous experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Electronics Manufacturing required.

Job Skills Required

  • Proficient in engineering practices and procedures related to electronic components and manufacturing.
  • Utilize experience/judgment to develop solutions for highly complex engineering issues.
  • Demonstrated advanced expertise in failure analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and thriving in a team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to navigate challenging situations effectively.
  • Highly organized and adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently.
