Manufacturing Engineer Manager

About the role

The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for leading and managing a team of manufacturing engineers, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage and oversee manufacturing engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Prepare and implement the departmental budget.
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Production) to achieve production goals.
• Encourage and support innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Knowledge & Experience

• Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.
• Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Strong collaboration delivering exceptional business.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Proven experience in meeting required Manufacturing Engineering goals.
• Strong dedication as a team player.
