Job Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to work alongside our manufacturing engineering team on impactful, project-based assignments that improve how we build and deliver our autonomous service vessels. You will be involved in real-world manufacturing challenges at the intersection of robotics, defense, and innovation. Responsibilities Assist in hands-on projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and processesConduct time studies and analyze production workflowsSupport floor organization and lean manufacturing initiativesDesign and implement light tooling or fixtures to assist in assembly or fabricationAnalyze and improve manufacturing data and documentation systemsWork cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and fabrication teams Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related fieldStrong interest in hands-on manufacturing and process improvementPrevious manufacturing experience is a plus, but not requiredEagerness to learn, collaborate, and take initiative in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsThis role requires full-time in office presence (40 hours/week) based at our headquarters in Austin, TX, from May through August 2027 Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerOccasional standing and walking within the officeManual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipmentVisual acuity to read screens, documents, and reportsOccasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office suppliesLifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages) Saronic CCPA Notice for Candidates and California Employees If this role is based in the United States, it requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.
