About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer III at Lozier is responsible for performing various functions on assigned projects, including defining the project, setting goals, and managing implementation. This role requires a strong ability to solve problems, facilitate change, innovate, and manage processes effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage projects with broad scope, ensuring clear communication to all affected parties.
  • Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop plans, and manage project implementation within timeframes.
  • Assist, guide, and mentor other engineers and support personnel in complex technical matters.
  • Develop, install, and maintain optimal manufacturing processes for quality product production.
  • Train on new processes, tools, and equipment, including defining preventive and predictive maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate corrections to production problems using sound engineering principles and practices.
  • Evaluate alternate solutions using sound engineering economy techniques.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timely performance.
  • Work well with others and demonstrate good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Perform general industrial engineering functions as necessary.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with a preference for mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, excellent written and oral communications, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in PC applications.

  • Knowledge of machine programming systems.

They are responsible for the successful completion of projects that are broad in nature, defined by the engineer, communicated clearly and concisely to all affected parties, and managed within the allotted timeframe.

Special Demands

Some travel may be required. Successful completion of a pre-hire drug screen and post-offer background check is required to obtain employment. Continued employment remains on an "at-will" basis.
