Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects within manufacturing site or suppliers to improve process capacity, capability, yield and maintainability.
  • Provide technical support for the approval/ validation of changes/ improvements within manufacturing site or supplier processes.
  • Provide technical support for the resolution of component quality issues.
  • Sustain supply chain continuity by qualifying and validating site and/or supplier tooling as per component approval procedures.
  • Ensures closure to component non-conformance issues with timely corrective action submission and approval of site and/or suppliers control plans.
  • Develops and revises product components or manufacturing processes of moderate complexity.
  • Coordinates and directs engineering projects or studies including complete projects requiring advanced knowledge of a specialized field.
  • Applies comprehensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices within broad assignment areas.
  • Plans, conducts, and directs engineering projects or studies including complete projects requiring advanced knowledge of a specialized field.
  • May coordinate and direct activities of technical support staff and may be responsible for, technical development of assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or comparable education/experience.
  • 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry, such as Medical Devices, is preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification or 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Minitab, and databases.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and professionalism in interactions with colleagues.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as Medical Devices, is preferred.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Sigma is preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $79,400 - $142,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
