Responsibilities

  • Cookordinate and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing.
  • Identify, specify, and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures.
  • Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Recognize, recommend, and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Implement changes with product design engineering.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, department layout, and machinery efficiency.
  • Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
  • Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives.
  • Complete internal Lean Leader certification.
  • Provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
  • Manage moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing, and product engineering.
  • Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.

Requirements

  • As a Level II: 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required. CAD skills required. 2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required. 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred.
  • As a Level Sr.: 6-9 years of relevant work experience in engineering required. Experience in a manufacturing environment required. CAD skills required. 2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required. 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred. General fluency in SAP. Strong Lean experience. Possess advanced experience in plant layout.
