About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineer II is an experienced professional responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production capabilities and support product development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Support the production team by troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
  • Participate in the development of process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct analysis of production data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Set up and calibrate manufacturing equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
  • Develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
  • Actively participate with engineering project teams to coordinate the release of new products.
  • Estimate and track manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Define, develop, and transfer manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.
  • Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing engineering plans, projects, and communicate them to internal and external customers.
  • Strong project management experience utilizing Microsoft Project as a tool to meet timelines and manage resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2+ years prior related experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field with 6+ years prior related experience.
  • Requirements are not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of automation and process improvement tools.
  • Strong project management skills utilizing Microsoft Project.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • CNC M and G code programming of 4 and 5 axis machines.
  • CAD/CAM CNC programming proficiency.
  • Grinding / CNC Grinding process set-up and programming.

This is a full-time, exempt position.
