Essential Functions of the Job

  • Lead development and optimization of new and existing production processes to improve efficiency, capacity, and cost.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production and quality issues.
  • Develop and implement process flows, layouts, and line strategies for new or transferred production lines.
  • Play a lead technical role in supplier evaluation including capability assessment, tolerances, and tooling design review.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement (CIP) and Lean initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Cook up and drive updates to process documentation and standardization efforts.
  • Lead capital equipment selection, implementation, and validation activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to entry – level engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Use required software tools including SAP, CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MRPII-related (SAP) Activities

  • Process routing ownership and optimization
  • Capacity planning and line balancing
  • Work center cost and performance analysis

Recommended Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or minimum 5–10 years related experience; or a combination of the two.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles and manufacturing systems (preferred).
