Primary Responsibilities
- Works under only general direction, independently determines and develops approach to solutions
- Completes understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
- Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives
- Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects
- Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts
- Represents the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects
Experience/Education/Skills Preferred
- BS in designated Engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience
- DMAIC, DFSS, LEAN, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Mistake Proofing, DOE, DFx
- Root Cause and Corrective Action / Nonconformance Disposition (MRB)
- Production and Assembly Environment (Composite Lay Up, Cure, Paint, and NDI)
- Machine shop environment (Composite Machining)
- As a manufacturing engineer
- New Product Development / New Business Development
- Shop Planning Generation (MS Word Products, etc)
- Working in/Leading a multidisciplinary team
- GD&T, CATIA V5, Green Belt Certified a plus
- Experience in Windchill, and SAP a plus
- Aerospace manufacturing a plus
