Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing manufacturing engineering support for new product introductions, production transfers, and operations transformation efforts. Support services may include facilitation of DFM feedback loops, fixture/tooling design, process development, supplier relationship management, product reliability, project management, and general operations support.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owning deliverables within new product development and operations transformation projects
  • S supporting a wide variety of manufacturing processes at vendors, such as machining, finishing, forging, casting, cleaning, heat treatment, passivation, anodization, etc.
  • Improving manufacturing process efficiency and driving down costs, while maintaining high performance and quality
  • Maintaining and improving controlled technical documents such as prints, procedures, protocols, and rationales
  • Executing to project plans and schedules for work activities
  • Communicate (written and verbal) with appropriate personnel from other departments and external suppliers.

Expected Areas of Competence

  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling software (SolidWorks)
  • Ability to balance quality, compliance and safety to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple medium complexity project assignments and complete work in a timely manner
  • Good problem-solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools
  • Ability to effectively work within a cross-functional team to complete critical project tasks
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Project

Education/Experience Requirements

  • B.S. in engineering with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an engineering role. Or other technical or advanced degree plus 2 years of experience in an engineering or technical role.

Pay Range

The anticipated pay range for this position is $80,000.00–$90,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
