About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Prepare plant layout drawings utilizing AutoCAD and lead implementation efforts.
- Monitor plant floor processes identifying production flow issues and propose solutions.
- Design carts, tables, workstations, jigs and fixtures utilizing 3D modeling software (Solidworks, Onshape, Sketchup, etc.).
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with the maintenance team for layout changes, equipment installation, training and equipment optimization.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Develop process flowcharts, visual work instructions, and job aids using tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or process mapping software (e.g. Visio).
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and other engineering studies to support manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Provide engineering support for equipment research and development, ROI analysis and capital expenditure requirements.
- Work with our production associates to leverage their experience and knowledge to drive process improvements.
- Conduct audits to ensure that implemented process improvements are successful, implemented and sustained.
- Evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies and equipment to enhance methods, equipment, and processes.
- Implement product and process changes on the production floor related to risk elimination, cost improvement projects, production demand, workstation design, material presentation, etc.
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices on safety and ergonomic improvements.
- Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (entry-level roles may require less).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean methodologies, and quality systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
- Comfortable on the manufacturing floor working hand-in-hand with teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio and Word.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
English language is required, Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $83,000.00/year, per year depending on experience and qualifications.
