Top Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to drive down scrap, increase production efficiency, and improve laminate quality.
- Design and implement creative solutions for manufacturing challenges, including automation systems, quality enhancements, and safety improvements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
- Provide technical expertise and hands-on support for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues, utilizing root cause analysis methodologies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence, utilizing Lean Kaizen methodologies and other best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in manufacturing engineering, and make recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering position.
- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field (Industrial, Electrical, Automotive) with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing facility.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software-preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing successful process improvements.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
