Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies aligned with strategic objectives
  • Manage updates and enhancements to existing manufacturing processes to support new product launches
  • Review engineering drawings and provide design-for-manufacturability (DFM) input
  • Create cost comparisons and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses to support supplier and equipment selection
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish standardized manufacturing processes and documentation to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
  • Partner with Quality to develop control plans, in-process checks, and inspection requirements
  • Provide training and technical support to production teams on equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans
  • Analyze process data, generate reports, and present findings related to performance and improvement initiatives
  • Support daily production needs to ensure KPI targets and standardized practices are met across all lines
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) efforts and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams on equipment changes and improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and engineering practices, including Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Proven experience leading Kaizen or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
  • Proficiency with business and engineering software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SolidWorks)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in team settings
