About the Role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes supporting prototype, low-volume, and medium-volume production. This role focuses on improving efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing performance while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement and thrives in a cross-functional environment spanning Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies.
  • Improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and eliminate bottlenecks using Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Design production workstations, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Support AOI, conformal coating, and other automated manufacturing processes.
  • Perform Gage R&R, process capability studies, root cause analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support new product introductions and ongoing manufacturing improvements.
  • Support capital equipment projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of CAD, manufacturing tooling, automation, and production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing engineering experience in electronics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC standards, or electronics manufacturing.
