Lockheed Martin · Littleton, CO · 2 mo ago
EngineeringFull-time

The mission matters. So do the people behind it. With advancing defense technology at our core, what sets us apart is a culture of collaboration, purpose, and impact. Our mission is to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve.

About the role

Lead manufacturing engineering team in Denver (Waterton) across multiple factories (electronics, RF, machining, coatings, mechanisms, composites, structures) focused on driving producibility into in-work designs, yielding assemblies with reduced cost and build durations. Work with Hardware Engineering teams to drive consistency & identicality into designs across all LM Space Hardware Products. Deliver Production and DFX Entry/Exit Criteria and objective evidence for Program SDR, PDR, & CDR events. Identify opportunities with existing builds to improve quality and schedule with changes to flow or new tooling. Work with all Space production areas to share lessons learned and improve producibility across of all of Operations. Recommend capital expenditures based on new technology within industry. Support proposal efforts, ensure estimates are consistent with current capabilities, ensure design changes are proposed and “build-to-print” items are evaluated for possible improvements and cost/schedule risk profiles defined. Assist in the coordination of employee recruitment, selection, teaming, and training. Conduct performance assessments, set work assignments, salary decisions, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Provide leadership, direction, guidance, assistance and mentorship to assigned employees.
