MANUFACTURING ENGINEER 2
About the role
The candidate will be responsible for exploring methods of using advanced manufacturing technology to improve cost and span of future submarine programs. This role will require good communication skills, research and development and the ability to apply advanced manufacturing methodology to shipyard problems. In this position, the candidate will explore ways to reduce cost and span of submarine manufacturing through the use of advanced manufacturing tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 0 years of relevant professional experience
- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

- Experience with research and development

Salary range: $89,000.00 to $110,000.00 (anticipated base pay; final compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors). Full-time, 1st shift.
