Manufacturing Designer

About the role

Join our team at Creative Modular Construction (CMC) as a Manufacturing Designer. This position plays a critical role in supporting fabrication and production operations through product design, project coordination, and technical documentation development in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development design initiatives collaborating with fabrication, production, and assembly teams.
• Create detailed Inventor models that coordinate multiple scopes of work.
• Create detail part drawings and detailed assembly documents.
• Create CAD drawings and electronic files for CNC fabrication.
• Assist with estimating takeoffs, mockup development, quality analysis, quality control, and value engineering efforts.
• Maintain project schedules, documents, data, and organized project files.
• Assist in the preparation of product drawings for various building materials and systems.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, estimators, operations teams, and fabrication personnel.
• Attend scheduled project management, estimating, and operations meetings as requested.
• Support development of new ideas, products, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes required; 3 plus years of experience preferred.
• Understanding of construction industry practices and building systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks and prioritize effectively.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Quick learner with a desire to grow and take on challenges.
• Professional demeanor and team-oriented attitude.
• Highly motivated with a positive outlook and strong work ethic.
• Enjoys hands-on development, innovation, and collaborative work environments.
