Manufacturing Cost Accountant

About the role

This role is responsible for the costing and controlling function for the product line at Measurement Systems. You will provide a monthly operational reporting package with analysis of sales, costs (material, labor, and overhead including variance analysis), and profit contribution, including inventory and work order control and SOX compliance.

• Responsible for product/projects costing, costing parameters, and profitability
• Preparation of monthly reporting package, gross margin reconciliations, and cost variance analysis
• Responsible for inventory and work orders valuation, control, reserve, and physical count
• Responsible for audits review, SOX compliance, and internal control
• Support management with project profitability, actual cost analysis, and cost-saving programs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA is a plus
• 7 years’ experience with costing, cost controlling, and accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Syspro ERP system
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, along with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to drive profitability and efficiency
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation
• International travel is required

• Base Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year depending on experience
