Manufacturing Building Custodian

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning, and mopping floors, stairs, hallways, and walls
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including scrubbing floors and repainting floor tape lines
• Clean and sanitize shared items such as water coolers, vending machines, PPE machines, televisions, rails, and production equipment
• Restock supplies in restrooms, locker rooms, and cafeteria as needed
• Empty trash cans, replace liners, and ensure proper recycling and waste disposal
• Clean windowsills, windows, doors, hallways, walkways, walls, machines, and equipment; remove stains from surfaces
• Perform general maintenance tasks and upkeep of grounds, including shoveling, salting walkways, cleaning property, painting structures, and changing lightbulbs
• Handle light plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and performing toilet maintenance
• Collect and dispose of wood waste; maintain cleanliness and order in the wood storage area
• Maintain janitorial equipment in clean, safe, and operable condition; report needs for supplies or repairs
• Ensure proper labeling of all chemicals and compliance with organizational quality, environmental, health, and safety standards
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, hoists, overhead cranes, and other equipment to move materials within the facility
• Complete other duties as assigned
