Manufacturing Associate - Night Shift

About the role

This position is "hands on" and requires a self-starter mindset. You will set up equipment for production following the schedule to fulfill customer orders. The majority of your shift involves operating large equipment such as shredders and grinders. You will manually load and unload product into and out of equipment. Material Handlers are regularly on their feet, monitoring, adjusting, and attentively aware of the equipment they operate. Forklifts are used to transfer material within the production floor—this is not a full-time forklift position. Responsible for executing all safety protocols, as safety is critical to everyone's success.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment for production following the schedule to fulfill customer orders
• Operate large equipment such as shredders and grinders
• Manually load and unload product into and out of equipment
• Monitor and adjust equipment during operation
• Use forklifts to transfer material within the production floor
• Execute all safety protocols

Requirements

• Self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and good attendance
• Able to work a 12-hour night shift (7 pm to 7 am)
• Work schedule rotates every 2 weeks: 36 hours one week & 48 hours the next (includes every other weekend)
• Must meet physical qualifications:
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach
  • Work in both hot and cold conditions
• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Basic computer knowledge is a plus
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not necessary
• Mechanically inclined with an attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist others
• Must pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen

Schedule

12-hour night shift (7 pm to 7 am), rotating every 2 weeks: 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, including every other weekend.
