Manufacturing Associate I/II (C1/C2-Part time)

About the role
Manufacturing Associates operate machines that produce electronic printed circuit boards for automotive radar detection systems. These products help alert drivers to take action and enhance safety on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and processes following established safety, production, and quality procedures.
- Participate in daily start-up communications meetings, assign work, and establish job rotation.
- Maintain personal training documentation and status, including on-the-job training.
- Follow defined Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and provide input for improvement.
- Perform workstation audits and inspections, and follow up on abnormalities.
- Ensure compliance with all established policies and procedures.
- Monitor and react to abnormal operating conditions.
- Perform preventative maintenance routines using established checklists to return equipment to its original state (training provided).
- Maintain normal conditions of equipment and/or processes.
- Perform first-response troubleshooting and minor first-line maintenance during line-down situations.
- Support the team in achieving daily 5S+1, Quality, Delivery, Kaizen, and Cost goals.
- Use problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, Cause and Effect, Fishbone Diagrams) to drive permanent corrective actions.
- Participate in team Kaizen activities for continuous improvement within the work cell.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing or logistics experience.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; AUMOVIO will not sponsor employment visas for this role.
- Relocation will not be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of manufacturing or logistics experience.
- Experience operating machinery.
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment.
- Experience manufacturing electronic or semiconductor products.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop floor environment.
- Ability to stand at a workstation for extended periods (10+ hour shifts) and perform tasks in a stationary position.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 40 lbs unassisted; heavier items with assistance or material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform frequent and coordinated two-handed tasks involving continuous finger, hand, wrist, and arm movements, requiring fine motor control, steady grip, and precise alignment.
- Ability to maintain balance and stability while handling and transporting materials.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to push and pull carts, trays, and material containers as part of normal production flow.
- Ability to work in an environment with continuous background noise from production equipment and material handling processes.
- Ability to perform computer-based tasks, including data entry, documentation, and communication, and to read and interpret information on computer screens and handheld devices.
- Ability to maintain control of small parts and assemblies to prevent damage or product loss.
- Ability to maintain visual awareness and focus to inspect parts, verify orientation, read screens, and identify defects or abnormalities.
- Ability to maintain hand-eye coordination to safely and efficiently handle and position components during production operations.
- Frequently work at a consistent production pace in a cycle-based manufacturing environment.
- Frequently move between workstations, warehouse, and production areas to support team operations.
- Frequently observe work processes, monitor performance, and respond to issues in real time.
- Must wear company-provided PPE, including ESD safety-toed shoes, ESD smock, and other required protective equipment.
Schedule
Part-time, 20 hours per week on the C1/C2 shift: 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM (4 days on, 4 days off).
