Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborates across departments to ensure welded steel members are staged correctly for processing.
- Utilizes overhead cranes to move parts.
- Occasionally uses forklift to transfer parts.
- Supports, participates, and encourages team building.
- Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments, and the supervisor.
- Promotes a positive work environment.
- Follows all of Porter Corp’s procedures and policies.
- Works safely and efficiently.
- Stays customer focused.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience
- This position requires a knowledge of basic material handling methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers.
- Work requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Travel
- This position requires minimal to no travel.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems.
Other Requirements
- Able to read blueprints.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts.
- Possesses very good problem-solving skills.
- Must be self-motivated and results oriented.
Other Skills
- Safe and efficient material handling to minimize damage.
- Accuracy and completeness of deliverable materials to customers.
