We manufacture precast concrete, polymer concrete, and plastic infrastructure products under brands including Belgard® hardscape, Echelon® Masonry, Sakrete® packaged concrete, and Techniseal® sands and sealants.
About the role
The Manufacturing Associate supports machine operators and production teams in maintenance, clean-up, material handling, and other operational functions.
Responsibilities
- Follow repetitive and sequential task assignments
- Maintain a clean work area and use safety gear at all times
- Report unsafe conditions or defective equipment immediately
- Clean machinery, conveyors, floors, and surrounding areas; remove debris and salvage reusable scrap
- Transport trash and debris away from production areas
- Keep pallets neat and orderly
- Operate machinery and equipment as trained, following safety guidelines
- Assist lead operator or supervisor in shift preparation and machine operation
- Work with conveyors, ramps, elevators, hoppers, bagging/sealer machines, forklifts, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, and powered vehicles (internal certification required)
- Operate a variety of hand tools
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks and completing shipping/receiving documents
- Package and label products properly; verify loads leaving the premises
- Maintain, verify, and count product inventory
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow detailed written/oral instructions
- Ability to follow company production and safety procedures
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (read two- and three-syllable words, recognize word/number patterns, add/subtract two-digit numbers, multiply/divide by 10s and 100s)
- Ability to pass internal certification training
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Demonstrate lock out tag out procedures and keep key/lock with self at all times
- Attend weekly safety meetings
- Good regular attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 100 lbs. from ground level
Pay
$20 - $21/hour, with a $2/hour differential for graveyard shift.
