What You'll Do

  • Ensure safe and quality-driven batching within expected timeframes.
  • Complete cleaning/washes aligned with Food Safety & Quality requirements to avoid production interruptions.
  • Work in teams of 2 or 3 in the blending room.
  • Add 50 lbs bags into the blender according to recipes in the SAP software system.
  • Fill, label, and palletize new bags for shipment.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality standards.
  • Maintain room organization and cleanliness in a safe manner.
  • Accurately enter data into SAP.
  • Adhere to safety policies and maintain a hazard-free work area.
  • Attend Tier 1 Meetings and provide input as requested.
  • Understand room washes and allergen/non-allergen requirements.
  • Maintain GMPs and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Report all accidents and near-misses immediately.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

What You'll Need To Succed

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
  • Basic computer experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.
  • Previous Manufacturing And Blending Operation Experience (preferred).
  • Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment (preferred).
  • Previous Experience With Scanners/RF Guns (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour.
  • Benefits Package: Includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance.
  • Shift Differential: $1.50 for 3rd shift (9 pm to 5 am Sun-Thurs) and $2.00 for 2nd shift (1 pm to 9 pm Monday - Friday).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to kneel, bend, squat, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.
  • Environment may be dust filled at times.
  • Ability to lift continuously.
  • Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to walk up to 135 feet one way many times a day.
  • Ability to continuously stand/walk up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladder.
