Manufacturing Associate
About the role
The Manufacturing Associate I supports the biopharmaceutical drug production process, focusing on protein purification for MacroGenics' clinical programs. This role operates in a GMP environment, ensuring materials meet specifications and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supports full biomanufacturing process including buffer prep, column packing, purification, and related tasks.
- Accurately completes documentation and data work, including batch records, work instructions, SOPs, and GMP compliance.
- Participates in hands-on manufacturing of materials for clinical trials, conducting operations like filtration and chromatography.
- Maintains equipment and manufacturing area cleanliness and orderliness.
- Collaborates with team members through effective communication, both electronically and in person, to ensure smooth operations.
- Adheres to all safety procedures when working with hazardous materials.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant science and math coursework, and at least three years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Associate’s degree in a related discipline with no experience.
- Experience with aseptic techniques of GMP manufacturing preferred.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications
Pre-employment requirements include a 7-year background check, drug screening, education and employment verification.
