Responsibilities
- Assemble products and prototypes according to engineering specifications
- Inspect, test and troubleshoot components, prototypes or finished products
- Perform soldering and wire harnessing for small prototypes
- Maintain detailed documentation of work processes
- Operate and maintain various 3D printing devices and CNC machines for ad-hoc prototyping
- Manage inventory, tools and materials required for production tasks
- Actively participate in initiatives to optimize production processes
Qualifications
- Experience assembling products in a production environment (high-volume and low-volume both valuable)
- Skilled at assembling physical prototypes with mechanical and electronic components, including wire harnesses
- Proficient in soldering and handling small electronic circuits, including SMT
- Strong attention to detail and dexterity with delicate components
- Proactive — solves problems, proposes improvements, and takes on responsibility as the team scales
- Works well independently and collaboratively across a cross-functional team
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
- High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing certifications a plus
- Preferred — reads engineering drawings and understands GD&T for part inspection
- Preferred — experience with 3D printing (FDM, SLA)
- Preferred — operates CNC equipment (lathe, mill, or 3-axis)
