Manufacturing Assembler

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply assembly tools and techniques effectively.
• Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Use hand and automatic crimp tools.
• Install boots, markers, Expando, sleeving, and wrap-around markers.
• Measure wire lengths using calipers, scales, and tape measures.
• Operate heat guns with correct settings for shrink applications.
• Solder using traditional and resistive soldering tools.
• Participate in ongoing on-the-job training to improve skills, accuracy, and efficiency.

Assembly Work

• Build wire harnesses and mechanical assemblies according to print.
• Crimp, strip, and handle various wires and components using hand tools.
• Follow all drawing requirements, general and flag notes, travelers, and work instructions.
• Comply with workmanship standards (IPC-620, J-STD-001, TE.04-03—training provided if needed).
• Document work accurately and completely in production travelers.

Qualifications

• Soldering experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring instruments
• Willingness to participate in training and learn specialized techniques
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to work in a team environment

The Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling complex wire harnesses and mechanical components by interpreting drawings, using manual and automatic tools, and adhering to industry and in-house standards. This position requires hands-on work, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality workmanship.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform detailed assembly work
• Light lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required
