Typical Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately perform the following machining processes
- Maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO)
- Machine nozzles and discs including polishing using the lathe in the shop and the field
- Machine broken studs on small bodies using the drill press
- Hone internal bores
- Use magnetic drill for stud removal
- Use drill press or pneumatic tools for disking seats
- Machine flanges (raised-face, RTJ ring joint, Grayloc, lens-ring, etc.)
- Machine seats and trim (gate, globe, and check valves)
- Machine gear operator segments
- Operate the following machines: milling machine, VTL, drill press, surface grinder, horizontal mill, manual lathes, honing tools, band and cut-off saw, and Lap Master
