Manual Machinist

We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to support low-volume production, special orders, tooling, and fixture work within our manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability who is comfortable working independently and handling a variety of manual machining tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings
• Operate manual Bridgeports, lathes, arbor presses, and welding equipment
• Use measuring instruments to inspect parts and verify dimensions
• Complete paperwork and documentation for work performed
• Perform low-volume production work typically ranging from 5–20 pieces
• Produce special orders, alterations, and one-off parts as needed
• Assist with tool making and fixture-building projects
• Support the grind department when needed
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow company and plant safety requirements

Qualifications

• Previous manual machining experience required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Welding experience is a plus
• Tool making and fixture-building experience preferred

Pay

$26 per hour and higher based on experience/capabilities
