Manual Machinist

About the role

The CNC Machinist is responsible for designing, programming, and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy in part production.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify machining programs.
• Perform quality checks on machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve technical issues and improve production processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in CNC machining or related field.
• Proficiency in using CNC machines and associated software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programming languages such as G-code and/or CAM software.
• Knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques.
• Basic understanding of materials science and metallurgy.

Skills

• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for manual labor.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
