Manual Grind Machinist - Day Shift

Duties/Responsibilities

• Clock in & out of appropriate job operations
• Read, interpret, and produce machined dimensions from information on engineering drawings
• Adequately adhere to job plans per job travelers
• Set up multiple types of jobs with fixtures
• Operate Manual ID / OD / Surface grind, Lap, and associated machines
• Basic Maintenance of Manual Grinders
• Use precision measurement equipment to ensure first piece and production quality
• Install and maintain grinding wheels
• Adequately adhere to directions and instructions of team leader

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A post-secondary machining related certificate or degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of Manual Grind Operations experience is preferred.
• Self-directed problem solver
• Positive attitude
• Ability to communicate and work with others in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Good hand-eye coordination
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to use hand tools
