Mansfield Market - Overnight Perishables Rep - Part time

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
• Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product on a daily basis
• Slice, package, label, and rotate products
• Scan items on Telxon for production
• Assist in technical areas as needed
• Merchandise product effectively
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Make regular announcements related to freshly-produced items to increase sales
• Clean and sanitize display cases; properly operate/maintain equipment
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
• Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures
• Aguas: Peel, cut, and chop fresh fruits and vegetables
• Aguas: Prepare fresh specialty drinks and food products specific to the Aguas department
• Floral: Design floral arrangements; provide a variety of fresh, quality products
• Floral: Design and execute merchandising programs
• Floral: Track seasonal records when appropriate
• Market: Cut, trim, and prepare meat for service at meat counter and self-service counter
• Market: Ensure proper product rotation and storage
• Market: Maintain coolers and freezers
• Market: Weigh, price, and package selections
• Market: Operate power meat prep and process equipment
• Produce: Stock and rotate product to ensure freshness
• Produce: Assist floral department when needed
• Produce: Communicate product knowledge to customers by explaining and providing samples
• Produce: Cut, wrap, and price produce to be placed on sales floor
• Produce: Maintain signing program
• Seafood: Demonstrate knowledge of various fish and shellfish
• Seafood: Weigh, price, and package selections
• Seafood: Maintain coolers and freezers

Qualifications

• Age requirement: 18+
• Customer service and communication skills
• Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, label machine)
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Education: HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training
