Mandarin-Speaking Afterschool Program Facilitator

About the role

The Mandarin After School Program Facilitator program at Elevo starts on August 10, 2026, and ends on June 3, 2027. The schedule includes four minimum 4-hour shifts each weekday from 12:25 PM to 6:00 PM, and no work on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured, engaging activities and sports using Elevo’s curriculum
• Manage group dynamics and support positive student behavior
• Partner with school staff and fellow coaches to create a welcoming program environment
• Show up consistently as a role model who helps students build confidence and social skills

Requirements

• Experience coaching, playing sports, working in education, or leading youth in any setting
• Lead by example as a confident, positive role model students want to follow
• Bring energy and presence that holds a group of up to 20 students’ attention
• Stay calm and empathetic when managing behavior or redirecting a tough moment
• Build trust quickly with students, families, and school staff
• Run activities on time and adapt on the fly when plans shift
• Collaborate with fellow coaches and school partners

Skills

• Ability to engage in constant movement and physical activity
• Sit or stand for long periods
• Occasional running and other strenuous physical activity
• Move safely on irregular and/or uneven terrain on a regular basis

Benefits

Pay

Expected hourly rate is $23.48.

• Monday: 12:25 PM - 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Friday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday: No work

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Pass Live Scan Background check and TB screening
• 18+ with high school diploma or GED
• Proficient in English and Mandarin Chinese
