We are revolutionizing the way students learn and are seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in San Francisco, CA.

Details

• In-Person Tutoring in San Francisco, CA
• Schedule: 15 hours, 2 days a week, 1.5 hour sessions
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate

• Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese
• Experience working with students with ASD and other learning differences
• Skilled in teaching math, reading, writing, and social-emotional skills at the elementary level
• Patient, structured, and creative
• Able to engage students with special needs
• Familiarity with IEP goals and experience implementing individualized learning strategies
• Bubbly, motivating, and capable of building rapport while maintaining consistent academic expectations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide structured instruction in math, including foundational concepts, word problems, and problem-solving strategies
• Support reading fluency and comprehension through guided practice, modeling, and repetition
• Strengthen writing skills, including language conventions, organization, and expression of ideas
• Reinforce social-emotional learning (SEL) skills, including self-regulation, focus, and task completion
• Incorporate movement breaks and hands-on activities to maintain engagement and attention
• Tailor instruction to the student's interests, such as traffic signs and the alphabet, to enhance motivation
• Collaborate with caregivers and integrate general education homework with individualized learning plans
• Create a supportive, structured, and positive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence
