Responsibilities

  • Management and oversight of utility projects
  • Review of site development projects on behalf of clients as the municipal designated engineer
  • Staff leadership and mentoring
  • Active representation at municipal meetings
  • Participation in marketing activities
  • Preparation of technical and cost proposals
  • Attendance at proposal presentations and interviews
  • Demonstrable business development capabilities

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • A current Connecticut PE license, or the ability to obtain one
  • 10-15+ years of relevant engineering experience, including supervisory, project management, and client communication experience
  • A thorough understanding of special districts; design and construction of water treatment, pumping, storage and distribution systems and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems; and associated funding programs

Pay

Estimated Pay Range: $100,000 - $155,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., is a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. We specialize in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of special districts; design and construction of water treatment, pumping, storage and distribution systems and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems; and associated funding programs.
