About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated candidate for a Managing/Sr. Managing Engineer position within our Water Resources (Water/Wastewater) practice area in our Buffalo, NY office. This role is responsible for managing both water supply and wastewater management projects, including business and client development, primarily in the municipal sector.

Responsibilities

• Management and oversight of utility projects.
• Review of site development projects on behalf of clients as the municipal designated engineer.
• Staff leadership and mentoring.
• Active representation at municipal meetings.
• Participation in marketing activities and preparation of technical and cost proposals.
• Attendance at proposal presentations and interviews.
• Demonstrable business development capabilities.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• A current New York State PE license, or the ability to obtain one.
• 10-15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Supervisory, project management, and client communication experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of:

• Special districts.
• Design and construction of water treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution systems and/or wastewater treatment, pumping, and collection systems.
• Associated funding programs.

Pay

Estimated pay range: $100,000 - $155,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
