For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Managing Partner for Estate Planning focused on Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) families on the West Coast. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
About the role
You will strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes that guide business decisions. Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the estate planning practice focusing on UHNW families
- Build and mentor a top-tier team of estate planning strategists driven by technical excellence
- Engage directly with the most complex estate planning cases as the firm's top technical expert
- Design advanced estate plans incorporating tailored wealth transfer strategies for high-complexity clients
- Collaborate with wealth advisors and tax strategists to integrate estate planning into overall financial strategies
- Cultivate and manage relationships with a select group of ultra-high net worth families
- Represent the firm in client development and industry events to enhance its reputation in estate planning
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and preferably an LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning
- Licensed to practice law in at least one state
- Minimum of 20 years in estate planning with significant focus on clients with $100M+ balance sheets
- Proven experience in leading high-performing estate planning teams within wealth management or a family office setting
- Exceptional mastery of federal transfer tax law and advanced wealth transfer planning techniques
- Ability to deliver comprehensive multi-generational estate plans addressing complex family dynamics and assets

Pay
$255,000 – $300,000 annually
