About the role
Texas Roadhouse is looking for a legendary Managing Partner (General Manager) to oversee all facets of operations and ensure that Legendary Food and Legendary Service are adhered to at all times. This role is ideal for an entrepreneur who wants to run their own restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Enforce compliance with all employment policies, with assistance from the management team.
- Direct the work of the management team, including setting weekly management schedules and assigning areas of responsibility to Restaurant Managers.
- Manage the performance of the management team, including conducting weekly management directionals, performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
- Review applications, interview, and hire management and hourly employees.
- Provide ultimate oversight over all food, labor, and liquor costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines.
- Manage food costs, track waste, and control labor costs.
- Oversee weekly and monthly P&L management.
- Plan, prepare, and oversee weekly, monthly, and yearly inventories and budgets.
- Verify audit, ESF, daily Taste & Temp, and training standards are maintained.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Enforce appropriate security measures to maintain the safety of employees and guests.
- Oversee incentive programs for management and hourly staff members.
- Develop key employees and managers, including training in employment policies and practices.
- Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures.
- Act as the primary liaison with all store vendors and support center contacts.
- Maintain the restaurant’s culture and live core values: passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a GM, Managing Partner, or Multi-Unit Manager in a full-service restaurant concept.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and handle stress in a high-volume environment.
- Managing Partners are required to make an initial monetary deposit and enter into an employment agreement with Texas Roadhouse.
