Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Managing Engineer (Ph.D.) for our Biomechanics Practice in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of experts to solve complex engineering problems relating to human injury analyses in various environments.
- Evaluations of the human body's response to applied forces during accident scenarios, including biomechanical accident reconstruction, assessment of human injury mechanics and injury potential, and characterization of human interaction with safety and occupant protection systems with consideration of potential injury mitigation.
- Executing consulting projects that involve the analysis of vehicle occupant protection system performance, safety assessments, and federal and state regulations.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field
- 6+ years’ of post-graduation experience in human injury analyses
- Ability to generate business and manage client relationships
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior testifying experience is ideal
- Ability to interact with managers, engineers, non-technical personnel, and clients and present technical topics in a cogent and comprehensible manner

Career Growth

- Promoting Exponent’s multidisciplinary consulting expertise and your professional reputation through activities such as publishing papers, presenting at conferences, conducting seminars or serving on expert advisory and scientific / technical committees
Compensation
- Total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
- The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
- Salary Range: USD $143,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
