Job Summary

The BDO Washington National Tax (WNT) practice provides technical leadership and support to firm client service professionals and alliance firms on tax matters, new legislation and Treasury guidance, articles on key tax issues, and working with marketing and Tax quality control to ensure high-level information dissemination internally and externally. The Managing Director, Washington National Tax will collaborate among WNT professionals and with tax leadership to drive communication efficiencies.

Job Duties

  • Applies knowledge and expertise to assist internal and external clients
  • Collaborates with NTO, tax leadership, and BDO firm leadership to execute upon the tax communication strategy
  • Aids in developing and implementing firm-wide training programs for staff through principal in area of expertise
  • Other duties as required

Education

  • Education Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree, required
  • Juris Doctorate or Master’s in Accounting or Taxation, preferred
  • Experience: Fifteen (15) or more years of professional experience in tax technical and communication information, preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications: CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations), preferred
