Primary Responsibilities
- Originate new sell-side M&A, buy-side advisory, and capital raising engagements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, CEOs, private equity sponsors, family offices, attorneys, accountants, and other referral sources.
- Build and execute a consistent business development strategy to generate new opportunities.
- Represent Bridgepoint at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
- Lead engagements from initial pitch through closing.
- Advise clients on valuation, transaction strategy, buyer positioning, and negotiation.
- Oversee preparation of marketing materials including teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, and financial analyses.
- Manage buyer outreach, due diligence, negotiation, and closing processes.
- Cook up coordination with legal counsel, accountants, lenders, and other advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary senior advisor to business owners and executive teams.
- Provide strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, ownership transitions, and capital structure alternatives.
- Deliver exceptional client service throughout each engagement.
- Mentor Vice Presidents, Associates, and Analysts.
- Provide guidance on execution quality, client communication, and professional development.
- Help recruit and retain top talent.
- Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture across the firm.
Firm Development
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen Bridgepoint's market position.
- Develop sector expertise and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with other Managing Directors to cross-sell capabilities across industries and geographies.
Qualifications
- 10–20+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory experience.
- Demonstrated history of originating middle-market advisory engagements.
- Strong M&A execution experience across sell-side, buy-side, recapitalizations, or capital raises.
- Existing network of business owners, private equity firms, and referral partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced credentials are a plus.
