Managing Director, Private Placements

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Director, Private Placements to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader in the finance and insurance sector is seeking a senior investment professional to drive private placement activity and support portfolio yield objectives. The role will partner closely with portfolio management and credit analytics teams to evaluate opportunities, execute trades, and strengthen credit decision-making. It also includes shaping a strong credit culture, mentoring junior team members, and producing clear investment recommendations supported by rigorous analysis. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $180,220 – $268,400 annually Responsibilities Monitor markets and cultivate deal origination to enhance portfolio yield Analyze private securities and execute trades aligned with investment policies Collaborate with portfolio management and credit analysts for deal analysis and reporting Lead the design of a credit culture and mentor junior team members Conduct fundamental relative value analysis for bond selection Produce high-quality written reports on credit decisions Source and synthesize data for investment decisions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience CFA Charter Holder 10+ years of investment-related experience, including 3 years in institutional private placements Advanced understanding of capital structure and legal documentation Highly advanced knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysis Benefits Gain valuable knowledge from diverse colleagues globally Enjoy a respectful and welcoming work environment Experience vast career potential with the organization Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
