About the role

The Managing Director, Head of Private Fixed Income Capital Markets oversees relationship development for the private fixed income (“PFI”) platform (Corporates, Infrastructure, ABS, and CTLs) to increase origination growth and business development. This leader will help grow the PFI business by developing relationships to support investment pipeline creation, expansion, and execution, working closely with investment professionals to build and maintain key relationships with portfolio credits, financial intermediaries, and potentially clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, sponsors, potential issuers, and other sources to source private placement investment opportunities.
• Evaluate and develop a deep pipeline of investment opportunities, and work with internal investment teams to drive investment execution.
• Work closely with the Head of PFI to drive strategy supporting business growth.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to identify new investment opportunities across the private market, including corporate, infrastructure debt, ABS, and CTLs.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance the visibility and reputation of the PFI team and the entire Nuveen investment platform.
• Collaborate across the Nuveen investment platform to ensure all relevant investment opportunities are evaluated.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in private markets investing (10+ years preferred).
• University degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
• Sedentary work as physical requirement.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $222,000/yr – $300,000/yr. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The compensation package may also include participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
